探險者號在茫茫的海面上航行，望着無邊無際的大海，眼前白茫茫一片，在眼光所能看到的遠處，海面和藍色的雲天相連，漣波反映着融化的太陽，現出一片片的火焰。
探險者號經過了昨晚狂風暴雨、驚濤駭浪的衝擊，接納了無數的風風雨雨，也經歷了曾經的歷史變遷，卻沒有留下任何歷史的痕跡，沒有留下一個的腳印，依舊保持着原來的模樣，用浩瀚堅固的身軀，接受着大海深處的千變萬化。
雪莉看着海面，感慨地說：“How beautiful it is!If I had died last night,I wouldn't have seen the scenery today.（這多美啊！我要是昨晚就死了，也就看不到今天的風景了。）”
凱麗拂了拂被海風吹得飄揚着的頭髮，微笑着說：“Don't worry,you won't die.（放心吧，你死不了的。）”側頭朝着弗蘭克一點，“He won't let you die（他也不會讓你死的。）”
雪莉微微一笑：“Thanks to you.（多虧了有你們。）”
弗蘭克走了過來，關切地問道：“Shirley!How are you feeling?（雪莉！你感覺怎麼樣了？）”
雪莉笑道：“Nothing much,just hungry.（沒什麼事了，就是肚子好餓。）”
凱麗大笑着說：“Can't you get hungry?I'm hungry.（能不餓嗎？我也餓。）”
高曉飛湊了過來，也笑着說：“I'm hungry,too!（我也餓啊！）”
“餓了，那就上來吧。”只見問天扎着圍裙，正站在第二層餐廳休息區的欄杆邊向下看着他們。
“哇噻！”高曉飛歡呼道，“老大！你真是太偉大了！”拔腿衝上了二層。
大家也都跟着走了上去。
問天看着高曉飛笑道：“你小子，還這麼生猛，好像不餓啊。”
高曉飛哭喪着臉說：“老大！我都已經是餓得就只差兩眼一翻，氣絕身亡了！”
問天看着他搖了搖頭：“不像。”
只見託雷斯從駕駛室一路走了上來，看着一大桌的美食驚歎道：“Oh my god!This is so moving!（噢天吶！這太讓人感動了！）”
高曉飛一邊吃，一邊含糊不清地問道：“Torres!!!You're on.Why is the boat still moving?（託雷斯！你上來了，怎麼船還在前進？）”
託雷斯只管把食品往嘴裡噻，根本就沒有時間來回答。
弗蘭克解釋道：“The explorer is equipped with a high-powered autopilot that automatically locates itself by satellite and is connected to the ship's cruise control system,but it can only travel on a given course,and the driver can leave the cockpit once it is set correctly.（探險者號安裝配備了高性能的自動駕駛儀，能依照衛星自動定位，連接着船上的巡航控制系統，但這也只能根據既定航線行駛，只要準確做好設定後，駕駛員就可以離開駕駛座。）”
高曉飛驚歎不已，豎起大拇指說：“Too high technology!Great!（太高科技了！了不起！）”
“老爸！你說，我們真的能找到幽靈島嗎？”凱麗默默地看着問天，這個問題是昨晚雪莉問過她的。
問天笑了笑，看着遠處的海面，淡淡地說：“託雷斯和弗蘭克都曾經是漁民，他們在每次出海之前，並不知道魚在哪裡，可他們還是選擇了出發，因爲他們相信，會滿載而歸。人生亦是如此，先選擇相信，努力去做，你纔會擁有。”
凱麗點了點頭，突然間信心十足.她迎着海風拂了拂長髮，眺望着遼闊的海面，只感到魅力無窮，心中不由自主地感慨着：老爸有着大海般的胸襟和氣魄，他的心，就好像是大海的靈魂。可以接納世間上所有的風風雨雨，盪滌一切想侵蝕他的塵埃污垢，始終用一面平鏡對着每天都有千變萬化的天空。
放眼望去，全是滿目的藍色、無瑕、透明，純潔、安靜，足以融化一切，這是大自然唯一賦予大海的顏色。
大家都坐在二層休息區裡，一邊觀賞着海景休息，望着無邊無際的大海，平靜、溫和。耀眼的陽光透過雲層撒入海面，蔚藍的天空出現了展翅飛翔的海鷗，到處尋找食物。這時的海風平浪靜，連海濤聲也格外地輕，好像還沉浸在睡意之中。
成千上萬的海鷗在海面上盤旋，發出陣陣的叫聲，往水中亂竄的魚兒飛去，一隻只海鷗就像是火箭般往水裡面俯衝，真使人擔心它們會一頭栽到浩淼的大海里。可是，就在接近水面的一霎那，它們突然變得出奇地輕盈，身子剛碰到海水又飛了起來，嘴裡還叼着一條條銀光閃閃的魚。大海似乎又開始熱鬧起來。
高曉飛驚訝地站起來觀賞，感嘆着說：“這也太壯觀了！”口中不由自主地唱起了兒時的歌曲，“海鷗海鷗我們的朋友，你是我們的好朋友……”
凱麗笑着問：“你在唱什麼呢？”
高曉飛笑着回答說：“一首很老的兒歌，讚美海鷗的。”說着又對着凱麗唱了起來。
雪莉聽着旋律，笑着說：“The melody of Chinese songs is also very cheerful,kelly!You can make him sing to you every day.（中國歌曲的旋律也很歡快，凱麗！你以後可以讓他天天唱歌給你聽。）”
凱麗笑道：“Forget it!He used to kill people by singing,but now he has improved a little.If he had his voice before,it would not be seagulls eating fish today,but fish eating seagulls.（還是算了吧！他以前唱歌可會要人命，現在進步了一點，要是以前的嗓門啊，今天就不會是海鷗吃魚，而是魚吃海鷗了。）”
雪莉不明所以，疑惑地問道：“why?（爲什麼？）”
高曉飛哈哈大笑：“She meant that if it had been my old voice,the sea gulls would have been killed by my voice and dropped into the sea to feed the fish.（她是說，如果是我以前的嗓音，這一大片海鷗都會被我的聲音嚇死，而掉進海里餵魚。）”
弗蘭克哈哈大笑：“Xiao-fei gao!Did you really have that horrible voice?（高曉飛！你以前的聲音真有這麼難聽嗎？）”
雪莉聳了聳肩膀，不可思議地搖了搖頭：“That's an exaggeration!（這也太誇張了吧！）”
高曉飛笑着問：“Do you think I sound bad?（你們覺得我唱得難聽嗎？）”
雪莉笑着搖了搖頭：“Not bad!（不難聽啊。）”
弗蘭克攤了攤雙手：“But what are you singing?（可你唱的是什麼？）”
高曉飛指了指海面上滿天的海鷗，笑着說：“What I sing is a Chinese children's song praising seagulls,saying that seagulls are our friends.（我唱的是一首讚美海鷗的中國兒歌，說海鷗是我們的朋友。）”跟着又唱了兩句，“海鷗海鷗我們的朋友，你是我們的好朋友……”
弗蘭克一臉驚恐地看着高曉飛：“Seagulls are our friends?Are you sure?（海鷗是我們的朋友？你確定？）”
高曉飛笑着攤了攤雙手：“That's what the song say.（歌裡是這麼唱的。）”
“No,no,no.（不不不。）”弗蘭克搖了搖頭說，“In the coastal cities of England,France,and Mexico,gulls are not considered friends.They are simply a pack of hungry,winged wolves that will do whatever it takes to eat them.（在英國、法國和墨西哥許多的沿海城市裡，人們都不會把海鷗當成朋友；簡單來說，它們就是一羣長着翅膀的餓狼，爲了吃可以做到不擇手段，不是猛禽，勝似猛禽，而且還攻擊人類。）”
“Seagulls,attacking humans?（海鷗，還攻擊人類？）”這回輪到高曉飛不可思議了。
“yes（是的。）”弗蘭克說，“Many people may think that since seagulls are seabirds,they usually catch fish to eat.But in fact,these birds really aren't picky about what they eat,maybe even more so than you are.They will accept almost anything they can swallow,whether it is flying in the sky,running on the ground or swimming in the water.This group of foodies almost have no taboos.（很多人可能認爲，海鷗既然是海鳥，平時它們也就捉捉魚吃。但實際上，這羣鳥真的不挑食，可能比你還不挑食。幾乎只要能吞進去的東西，它們都來者不拒，不管是天上飛的，地上跑的，水裡遊的，這羣吃貨幾乎沒有什麼忌口，看見就吞，毫無鳥性可言。）”

高曉飛、凱麗和雪莉三個越聽越有趣，都靠了過來，繞有興致地聽着弗蘭克講述海鷗。

高曉飛哭笑不得，苦着臉嘆道：“So,they have done so many bad things ah!（原來，它們都幹了這麼多的壞事啊！）”
衆人忍不住一齊大笑。
弗蘭克又笑道：“But they are not without benefits.Sailors know that if the seagulls fly close to the surface of the sea,the weather will be fine in the future,and if they wander along the sea,the weather will get worse.If seagulls fly high out of the water and flock from the sea to the sea,or flock of seagulls gather on the beach and in the cracks in the rocks,it is a sign of an approaching storm.（不過它們也不是沒有好處，航海的人都知道，如果海鷗貼近海面飛行，那麼未來的天氣將是晴好的；如果它們沿着海邊徘徊，那麼天氣將會逐漸變壞；如果海鷗離開水面，高高飛翔，成羣結隊地從大海遠處飛向海邊，或者成羣的海鷗聚集在沙灘上和岩石縫裡，則預示着暴風雨即將來臨。）”
高曉飛笑道：“Not bad,not good for nothing!（還好，還不算一無是處。）”
海面上啊聲大作，嘯聲陣陣，無以數計的魚羣瘋狂地躍出海面，漫天海鷗也對着海面展開空襲。無數的海鷗雙腳緊縮，張開翅膀，俯視着海面，突然放慢速度，拍打雙翅，滯空後，便垂直俯衝而下，利箭般射入海里；瞬間水花四濺，隨後它穿出水面時，嘴裡叼着一條魚，飛向空中。也有的海鷗被魚咬住雙腳拖到海里，變成了魚的食物。一時間，魚、鷗混戰，大洋上瞬間變成了一片怒海，嘯殺聲不斷。
“這簡直就是互相傷害啊！”高曉飛望着海面感嘆。
怒海茫茫，在這個弱肉強食的大自然中，每個生靈都在生存，都在努力地尋求着自己的生存法則，人類如此，海鷗和魚亦如此。
面朝着茫茫大海，感知着不僅僅是滄海一粟的渺小，更是浩浩蕩蕩的雄渾。以海的心境去包容一切，以海的豁達去審視人生，將人生的喜怒哀樂繪成靈魂的千迴百轉，當心情飛濺若花，紅塵一笑，領悟的何嘗不是一種超然與快樂？
問天拿着望遠鏡從下面走了上來：“Target spotted in front of us.（前方海面上發現目標。）”他舉着望遠鏡看了一會，交給了靠近身邊的弗蘭克，指着前方說，“Eleven o'clock（十一點方向。）”
弗蘭克接過望遠鏡看了起來，說：“It's an island.（是一座小島。）”
雪莉激動地說：“Is it ghost island?（是幽靈島？）”
“No.（不。）”弗蘭克搖了搖頭說：“I've seen ghost island with my own eyes, but it's surrounded by fog and heat, and you can't see land. It's not.（我曾親眼看見過幽靈島，但那四面都處在大霧熱浪的籠罩之中，根本就看不見島嶼陸地，這個不是。）”
“Come on,let's get out of the cab.（走吧，我們下駕駛室。）”問天一招手，領先走了下去。
“It was an uninhabited island,unmarked on nautical maps and never navigable.（這是一個無人荒島，航海地圖上也沒有標識，導航上也從沒有出現過。）”託雷斯說。
問天點了點頭：“Okay,we're getting closer.（好，我們靠近了看看。）”
不多時，探險者號靠近了島嶼，可以看清楚島上外圍的情景。
“老大！現在該怎麼辦？要不要上去探索一番？”高曉飛看着島嶼問道。
“上去是必然的，但也要先了解了解。”問天側身問道：“Frank!Torres!!!What do you think?（弗蘭克！託雷斯！你們怎麼認爲？）”
弗蘭克和託雷斯對望了一眼，誠懇地對問天說：“Xiao eldest brother!We make decisions about navigation and action.You are in charge.We are at your disposal.（蕭大哥！航行上的事我們拿主意，行動上的事，你來全權作主，我們都聽你的。）”（未完待續）
